Have you ever really put yourself in someone else’s shoes or thought about how those different from yourself manage their day-to-day lives? I believe that perspectives like this hold one of many keys to a better future.

After reading “Disability Visibility by Alice Wong” I had realizations that I hadn’t considered before. This got me thinking deeper about DEI and the work that still needs to be done to support various communities.

Here’s where to start.

Embracing our differences.

Do so beyond visibility. Reclaim the beauty of our differences.

Don’t assume.

Remember that lack of accessibility is often the root.

Advocate for others.

Activate your true support and turn words into real actionable change.

As 2021 comes to a close we will be taking time to reflect and plan for a new future. Happy holidays and see you soon. We Are Better All Together.
